Will pixie haircuts be a new trend for the summer?

This month's Harper's Bazaar Magazine speculated that the pixie haircut may be a trend to emerge this summer. But how likely is it to happen? Michelle Williams recently cut her locks into this pixie do, as seen at the Indie Awards.

However, she has added hair extensions during the shoot of the film Incendiary in London but I think she really did pull off the pixie-cut look. The baton, for now will have to be passed to next-top-models, Agynes Deyn and Cecilia Mendez, two much-in-demand models who have a fan base. (Harper's Bazaar mentioned Agynes Deyn as a model creating buzz for this look) Actors and Performers lead trends more so than models now, compared to the the Supermodel era of the 1980's and 1990's and the person who popularized belly baring tops may get in on this possible trend also.

Wardrobe malfunction at WIFW

At the Delhi designer’s 5.15 pm show on Day 3 of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week in New Delhi, German model Christina’s cape dress slipped off her shoulder, for a split second, but the memory will linger on for long.

The designer who has worked on costumes for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming Indo-French opera, Padmavati, is in Paris and was unavailable for comment. But Fashion Design Council of India’s (FDCI) Sumeet Nair was unperturbed by the incident. “It was a fantastic show. The accident is not important,” he said matter-of-factly.

Foot fault

But the blip was a disaster waiting to happen. The ankle-length, patent leather boots sported by models at the show were obviously uncomfortable. They were at least two sizes bigger than normal, making the heel teeter when the girls walked down the smooth vinyl runway.

There were more than five instances when the models threatened to tumble, and model Bhawna Sharma almost went down. Perhaps perfectionist Pratap’s absence from the scene of crime made an inexcusable misfit of the boots.

Model Catherine McNeil Finds Comfort in Chicken Burgers

Earlier this year Times fashion writer Guy Trebay declared 17-year-old Catherine McNeil to be “fashion’s latest crush,” citing her photo shoots for Mario Testino, her campaigns for Hugo Boss and Dolce & Gabbana, and her sudden status as the sought-after runway model. McNeil has lived on the Lower East Side since moving from Australia in February and can often be found at expat hangout Ruby’s wolfing chicken burgers like her mom used to make. “It’s chicken breast, and you can put lettuce and sweet chili sauce and stuff on it,” she explains. Not that she did much eating out this week between shoots for Another magazine and Versace. We caught her on the way to the airport (she was flying to Paris for a Gaultier shoot) and asked her what she noshed on.

Monday, November 5
We were doing Versace. I had some banana bread for breakfast. I went out to lunch at Barolo with my booker because I was working in the morning. I had sea bass with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. I had cheesecake for dessert.

The annual Hair Coloring Splash in Tokyo was all about hairdos and costumes beyond the wildest and most colorful imaginations.

Fabulous hair joined fashion on the catwalk this Tuesday during Tokyo's fashion week.
Eight Japanese hair colorists and designers from Japan's top hair salons showed off their grand color works. Their Fashion models paraded onstage wearing elaborate costumes and strutted to live music.

No fashion was like another, from European fairy-tale fantasies inspired by "Alice in Wonderland", to fallen Christian angels, to the grandest queens of ancient civilizations.

The annual event promotes Tokyo as the world's epicenter for chic, surprising, and cutting-edge hair-styling. What's wild today could be the trend for tomorrow.

Top 3 Most Beautiful Women: All from Ethiopia?

Who are they and how are they assessed?
Of course there is no one standard to judge a woman’s beauty but, unless we want to neglect reality, we are often forced to settle for some norms given by modern society and usually find ourselves assessing beauty using those most acknowledged standards. Many people prefer the fair-skinned with smooth hair women while some add supermodel qualities and others have recently preferred the curvy and fuller women.
In general, there are three types of beautiful women corresponding to three grouping of our society that prefers them: (1) the thin and stunning supermodel, (2) the slender and gorgeous model whilst the girl-next-door type and (3) the hip-hop, with thick curves and thin limbs, baby face model.

The first category, supermodel type, of the most beautiful women grouping would probably prompt us to think about the likes of Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell and other famous elite models. Their beauty and talent is often rewarded by big contracts with top fashion designers and labels. The second category of the slender beauty is also decorated with contracts at times, but these are the ones ordinary men see as the girl-next-day cutie. Except, to be labeled as the top beauty in this second category, the woman must be extremely cute, natural, slim and gorgeous. Then lastly, the third category brings the extremely attractive, baby face, curvaceous and sexy woman minus the trunk legs often associated with curvy women. In these days, women in this category would often associate with hip hop models. But to be the best in the world for this category, the woman has to be in the top of this industry featuring in some top urban and other magazines, or often the subject of the “hottest woman” comparison in social networking websites. Yes, even before you finished reading the last sentence, you must be thinking about LOLA LUV!
Ethiopian born hip hop model Angel Melaku aka. Lola Luv
Born in East African nation of Ethiopia, Lola Luv, or Angel (Melaku) Fershgenet, has been the most talked about hip hop model in the world recently. Angel has been labeled the new “It” girl of 2007 by magazines, artists and celebrities. She has been featured in almost every urban magazine, been on the cover of top ones including “Black Men” magazine, appeared on BET’s fashion show “Rip the Runway” and on numerous music videos by Kanye West, 50 Cent, Twista, Busta Rhymes etc. Maybe as an African, my assessment might appear bias but it is almost unanimous that the Barbie doll face, curvy and extremely beautiful Lola Luv takes the cake! Though it shouldn’t surprise people, since many East African women have more beautiful skin –often balanced between the darker South & West African AND the white-skinned Caucasian.
Ethiopian super model Gelila Bekele. She is rumored to be dating Tyler Perry. (video)
Similarly, if we eliminate the likes of Tyra Banks from the first beauty category, we are only left with the obvious and famous Supermodel Liya Kebede who has appeared on many covers like of Vogue Magazine, TV shows like Oprah and became the face of Estee Lauder while the extremely cute Gelila Bekele from Ford Models and the African Magazine cover-girl takes the award in the second beauty category. Both these beauties, born and raised in Ethiopia, have already featured in big endorsements & campaigns and signed heavy contracts, especially Liya Kebede, who was named one of the richest models in the world and appeared on CNN International programs, TIME’s Style & Design Escada, Victoria’s Secret, Flair etc. So can we say these Ethiopian women are the three most beautiful women in the world? Especially, taken by the three beauty categories and taste mentioned above, the three Ethiopians are probably the three most beautiful women on earth!

Kelly Brook reveals she's back to her curvy best in sizzling new shoot

She recently emerged as the female celebrity most men would like to see over breakfast and judging by these pictures, it's not hard to see why.

Curvy Kelly Brook reveals her ample assets in a sizzling lingerie shoot which will no doubt please her many male fans.

The 28-year-old beauty's curvy figure is back to its stunning best following a difficult time after the death of her father.

In a new lingerie photoshoot, a sparky Kelly shows why she's constantly at the top of the list of women most men would like to have breakfast in bed with.

But maybe food might be the last thing on their mind.

Kelly recently revealed that she and her actor fiancé Billy Zane enjoy their long-distance relationship because it allows them to plan 007-style "rendezvous" in different countries.

In an interview with In Style magazine Kelly said: "It can be great having a long-distance relationship because you don't take the other person for granted.

"You actually really appreciate them.

"And you can have great rendezvous in hotels all over the world. It can all be very James Bond!"

The couple divide their time between their homes in Los Angeles and Kent, and are often separated because of work commitments.

But sadly for British fans, Kelly will be spending the next few months in Los Angeles in the hope of landing a big TV acting role.

She said: "Most of the spring will be spent in Los Angeles. Between February and April they have the pilot season, when you go and audition for all the TV shows.

"It feels like I'm in transition now. Last year was a tough year and it feels like a tough start in America."

Even in her professional life, Brook has always been open about her overtly sexy image and her famously curvy figure which she cheekily attributes to "having tons of sex".

She has said: "Having tons of sex so you look fit an healthy - it's the best thing in the world."

But she said that her looks didn't always help her to find work.

"I have to audition for things. They don't just hand it to me because I look hot.

"I wouldn't keep working if it was just about looks. I'm 28 and there are tons of hotter girls who are 10 years younger than me."

Brook also expressed her disapproval for female celebrities who stumbled out of clubs looking the worse for wear.

"Whenever I come out of a restaurant and there's a photographer, I just smile.

"Hopefully I come across as being myself. I'd never fall out of a nightclub drunk.

"No night out's worth that - a photo that's there for a lifetime of you with your knickers round your head," she said.

Melbourne Fashion Festival sets model for copycats

Melbourne Fashion Festival / Stuart McEvoy

IF imitation is the highest form of flattery, nowhere is this more true than in the fickle world of fashion.

As soon as international designers send their collections down the catwalk, workers in factories around the world begin copying them to sell in chainstores at vastly reduced prices.

Knock-offs are a necessary evil of the industry, but rarely do they run beyond a dress, a blouse or any other item of clothing.

The Melbourne Fashion Festival, which opens today, has broken this rule.

The festival, which began 12 years ago, has been copied by Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney, all eager to replicate Melbourne's success in driving retail sales, worth $20 million last year.
