Fashion Babes Hunting Guys Instead Of Foxes

After transforming Oscar award winner for best female role Marion Cotillard into the Little Mermaid with a golden statue in her hand, French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier has presented his 2008/2009 autumn/winter collection at Paris Fashion Week.

Even though barbaric hordes from the East ruled his current pret a porter collection, Mongols to be precise, it still contained elegance, nearly in the same amount as displayed by his haute couture collection, presented a month ago in Paris. Gaultier`s Little Mermaid has transformed into a warrior who has hunting souvenirs on her head. Like most collections for the upcoming winter, Jean Paul`s is also wrapped up in fur. He chose foxes, attaching them whole on the coat collar or placing them on the head as hats.

The collection is ruled by earthy tones. Feminine silhouettes were made complete with tight silk dresses, tunics and trousers with Chinese motifs featuring nature, plants or animals. But, his nomads have high heels as symbols of contemporary women and high chic in stead of horses between their legs – thus equipped, they have substituted their fox hunt with man hunt.
