The American Heart Association's 'National Wear Red Day' is Friday February 1st, 2008 and they will have some shapely contributors to the effort. Wear Red Day is part of the Go Red For Women campaign, a nationwide movement celebrating the energy, passion and power we have to band together and wipe out heart disease - the No. 1 killer of women.

The New York Post reports that a whole bunch of celebrities are chipping in and conducting a fashion show to benefit healthy hearts, at New York's Fashion Week. Page Six reports that "The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection kicked off Fashion Week on Friday.

Technically, it was the second show of the day, but hey - who's counting? such as Marc Jacobs, Marchesa and Oscar de la Renta each lent a one-of-a-kind red dress for the event to be modeled by various celebrities and models.
